Tulsi Indian Restaurant opened its doors in Galway in the summer of 1996. It is a contemporary restaurant offering traditional Indian dining experience to satisfy all aspects of Indian cuisine: wine selection, service, ambience and atmosphere. Our menu reflects the diversity of India, steeped in the classics while offering deft touches of modernity, Our wine selections has focused on the regions that best compliments our cuisine. Our service style emphasizes hospitality with knowledgeable, technically proficient staff who are present yet unobtrusive. Visited on a Monday night. The staff were very friendly and attentive. After being seated we were offered papadums which is pretty normal for Indian restaurants but what isn’t normal is the dipping sauce which was a lemon and mint, excellent. The Tandoori mackerel entree was a great hit , the boti kebab was a little tough having been over cooked. All the mains were excellent and were very sizeable.
Went on spec whilst wandering around the streets just because we fancied Indian food. Menu is fairly routine but the food was great. Really nicely cooked, no excess oil as you so often get. Manager was incredibly friendly and spent time chatting with all his customers. Definitely a great find and if we were here for more than 2 days would certainly return.

Fabulous restaurant. The staff were very friendly and polite.
The meal was beautiful. My request for just a mushroom balti was maybe unusual but no trouble and it did not disappoint.
The lamb samosas and onion bahjee starters were just as delicious. My hubby had the lamb balti and also enjoyed it.
Could not fault the food or service. Would definitely recommend and visit again this little gem.
A very pleasant environment slightly off the beaten track in Galway City. We saw the sign directing us to Buttermilk Walk and we were glad we did! A great environment with lovely attentive staff. We frequently eat in Indian restaurants and this is well amongst the best. Excellent food with its own distinct flavour. This is probably the only place we have eaten where our waiter refused a tip! However, we pursuaded him in the end, but not without a struggle!! We would love to have this as our local Indian restaurant and look forward to eating there again on a future visit to Galway. Thoroughly recommended.
Wandered into this restaurant for Sunday lunch. Set lunch menu was excellent value. Service was measured – and not for those in a hurry. But the servers were amazing. Genuinely friendly and very obliging they are the best thing in a restaurant full of good things. Starters were nicely spiced and generous. Main courses were spot on. Really pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon
